Vikki Clarke

Vikki Clarke has wanted to work in health care since childhood. Her interest in dentistry was nurtured by a general dental practitioner in Bedford where she worked as a dental nurse and achieved the National Certificate in Dental Nursing. She moved to work with children as a dental nurse for Bedford Health Authority. Here she was not only involved with dental health education in schools but also with oral health needs at a local care home for special-needs adults. Her interest in Dental Health Education led her to train as a Dental Hygienist at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff, being awarded the CEB Certificate in Dental Hygiene in 1988. Vikki was awarded 2 prizes whilst she was at the hygiene school, achieving best Practical Performance and Top Student in the examinations 1988. “Happy to be with dentists who worked with a strict code of ethics and high morals, and a genuine interest in gum health. As a member of the highly professional team here, I am able to work using the latest ideas and thinking. With my patients I can treat, plan and agree ways of improving their dental health up to the point where they can maintain a healthy mouth and they no longer need my services” Vikki is married with 2 children. She likes to relax doing yoga and enjoys cake making and decoration.
